Early 20th century violin by Joseph Bohmann. Made in Chicago, USA. “Greatest maker in the world” written right on the label inside.
Ebony fittings and fine tuner tailpiece. We’ve sold quite a few Bohmanns over the years and they all have very good sound. We’ve come to expect a high level of craftmanship from his instruments. This one has particularly interesting Spruce and a beautiful two-piece book-matched back and heavily figured neck. Sunburst is reddish amber. Like most Bohmanns, his finish is a little generous. This violin is set up fine and plays very well.
Comes with good hard case.
