Description

VG.(+) Condition.

This is a round-neck model that currently has a nut riser, and is setup to play lap style. Body is birch ply construction with soundwell. Neck is mahogany with beautiful full “V” profile. Slotted headstock with Dobro decal logo at top. Original parts, i.e. screen covers, cover plate, tailpiece and tuners. Currently set-up with newer Beard spun cone and new cast aluminum Spider Bridge and saddle inserts. Rosewood fingerboard has Ivoroid dot inlays for position markers. There is not a lot of wear on this instrument, but a lot of marks here and there. Hand rest above strings has been bent several times. Back of neck shows capo marks from use as a roundneck guitar. Body and headstock show random dings and scratches. Antique’d white binding around top edge of body.

This dobro is special because you can play it square-neck or as a simple finger slide guitar. Some work necessary to re-convert it back to Spanish style playing. The neck is curved slightly more than desirable for normal guitar playing, but can easily be flattened through compression fretting. Comes with hard-shell dreadnought case.
