Description

Exceptional condition  •  No Serial Number
1-11/16″ width at nut  •  24-3/4″ scale

It’s seldom that we see a 1957 Gibson L-48 in this great condition. Fairly rare Maple back, with Mahogany sides and neck, and Spruce top. Sunburst finish.
Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and adjustable bridge. Original Kluson Dlx closed-back three-on-a-plate Nickel tuners with intact cream buttons. Original nut. Except for first 2-3 frets, they seem to be original. Newer pickguard (or at least newer mounting hardware). Original trapeze tailpiece with small repair at hinge.
Single antiqued white bindings around top and back edges of body.

This L-48 is in pretty fine condition. The lacquer is in very nice condition, with only some small signs of prior usage.
No bangs, dents, or wear areas. Even the frets show only barest amount of wear. Strap button installed on neck heel.

It is all set-up, it plays fine and sounds great. Comes with a good Hard Case.
