This is a fine mandolin in fine condition…
Maple back, sides and neck with Englemann Spruce top. Sunburst. Rosewood peghead overlay with R.L.G. initials inlaid inside floral spray. Original bone nut. Flat Ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Top and back of body and fingerboard are bound with grained ivoroid. Original nickel Schaller tuners with pearloid buttons. Original Gabon Ebony adjustable bridge handmade by Bob Givens. Two-piece tailpiece. Slight, small finish checking on top near binding in a couple areas. Slight handwear on back of neck in first position. Top and back are in great shape. Original frets show moderate player wear. This is an all-original mandolin that has needed no repairs.
This is a strong mandolin with a good voice. Quick attack, woody presence.
