This is a very well-made banjo. Figured Maple neck and resonator. 3-ply Maple rim. Blackened peghead veneer shows Epiphone logo inlaid at top with nice elliptical design in middle and truss rod cover at nut. Peghead multiple bound with cream-black-cream. “Haircut” peghead. Multiple cream-black-cream heelcap. Flamed Maple resonator has two-piece book-matched back and multiple cream bindings on back edge and single cream binding on top edge. Gabon Ebony flat fingerboard has cream bindings and famous Epiphone cloud pearl inlays. Railroad spikes professionally installed at A, B, and C positions. Gold hardware is in fine condition. One piece flange and traditional flathead tonering. Traditional bluegrass banjo parts. Appears to be all gold Schaller tuners with matching amber buttons. Bone nut. “Masterbuilt” engraved black-white truss rod cover.
Comes with original hard shell case.
