Description

Exc.(+) Condition.
This is a special banjo. It’s marked “floor sweep” at the 21st fret inlay block. this name implies that the banjo is utilizing parts from the end of the Kenny Ingram banjo run. It has the Arthur Hatfield double-cut peghead, flying eagle inlay, rosewood fingerboard neck and “old factory floor” 3-ply rim. The tone ring is an unplated Blaylock tone ring. Mahogany neck and resonator are both in prime condition. Nickel hardware, except for un-plated bronze tone ring. Gotoh tuners. White bindings on fingerboard and resonator, and resonator concentric circles. Resonator and neck both appear almost as new, except for some lacquer checking in the resonator. There are no dings, dents or scratches in the neck, and almost no fret wear.
This banjo has the warm, growly, pre-war mahogany sound. Inside of resonator signed by Kenny Ingram. Plays like butter.
