This Washburn A model M116SWK is quite a handsome mandolin. It has lots of good features. The whole mandolin has an antique appearance from distressing the woods and finish to make it look older. Very nice Spruce top with highly figured Maple back, sides and neck. This instrument is fully bound with binding accent seen around the peghead. Ivoroid bound fingerboard, top and back. Top edge has wooden Houndstooth purfling. While back edge shows 5-ply purflings inside binding layer. The color is a handsome “western, iced-tea” style sunburst. Antiqued hardware including tuners with black buttons, and one-pc. cast tailpiece. 2-pc. traditional adjustable bridge.
The frets hardly show any sign of playing, and no player wear anywhere on the mandolin. This mandolin is setup well and has very good sound. Comes with the original sturdy hard case.
