Description
New. Made in Helena, Montana by Tom Sheehy, who is known for his innovative building style. 16″ scale. 1 5/16″ width at nut. Back and sides made of Pacific Madrone (madrona). One-piece redwood top. Maple neck. Flamed maple back bindings. Beautiful wood pickguard. Top is not bound, but overhangs the sides, like a violin edge with multiple purfling lines like a violin would have inside the top edge. Very cleverly made parts: handmade bridge, pickguard, tailpiece, etc. Madrona heelcap and peghead overlay with stylish inlay.
This is a uniquely designed and handbuilt instrument. The sound is really very good!
Here is Billy Parker demonstrating.
