This new Collings 002HG German Spruce guitar is an Indian Rosewood fingerpicker’s dream. Wonderful look, with the creamy white German Spruce perfectly accented with antiqued ivoroid bindings and wooden herringbone purflings. Ivoroid heelcap and end wedge. Slotted peghead has diamond volute behind nut. Rosewood peghead overlay with Collings logo inlaid. Waverly nickel tuners. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Cut diamond abalone inlays in fingerboard. Tortoise pickguard. Bone intonated saddle. Ebony pyramid bridge with Ebony pins and end pin. Back has wooden zipper backstrip.

Great sound – we love the grit and growl from German Spruce on Indian Rosewood bodies. They always sound like they have a head start on opening-up or “breaking-in”, if you will. We asked Collings to leave off the tongue brace (usually beneath the fingerboard extension area of the top). You’ll have a hard time putting this one down.
Comes with Original Hard Case.
