Scale length 25.5″  / Cherry Wood
EVO Frets  /  Width at nut: 1 5/16″

Handmade by Chuck Ogsbury, the founder of ODE banjos, and his son, Zen Ogsbury.  Chuck Ogsbury founded “OME” and “ODE” banjos and now owns both companies.

Cherry neck. Back of headstock has burned-in ODE logo. Ebony peghead veneer shows a 1937 Indian Head nickel inlaid in center. Truss rod cavity above the bone nut, with wooden cover. Flat Ebony fingerboard has small pearl dot inlays and white side dot position markers. “Squared-off” scallop of the fingerboard begins about 1/4″ after 17th fret, for ease of playing. The neck is highly figured, for Cherry, with fiddle stripe figuring all up and down the neck. This is not very common to see in Cherry wood and looks very much like beautiful Maple. Ebony heelcap.
H&K tuners with amber buttons. Brass hardware is antiqued, except for tuners. Handmade wooden armrest installed. 26 hooks and nuts with shoe construction mounted to a specially-designed wound rim, designed by Chuck Ogsbury. Tortoise bound bottom edge. Maple dowel stick. No tone ring, the rim acts as the tone ring.

These are very simple and elegant banjos, built by one of the longest active banjo makers in the world.
Of course they sound great. Set up with Renaissance head.

Comes with a good padded gig bag.
We try to keep them in stock as 11″ pots and 12″ pots, but they are selling pretty quick whenever we get a few.
This one is 12″.
