This beautiful ODE banjo was handmade in America by Chuck Ogsbury. The Maple Special open-back model is a rare banjo. Only a couple of batches have been made so far. They are completely made by Chuck Ogsbury, the founder of ODE, personally, and along with his son.

Beautiful Flame Maple neck with dark honey brown highlighting of the figure on the rim, dowel stick, and neck. Rim is multi-laminate 1/4″ thick with a tortoise binding on the outer edge. Ebony peghead overlay is a solid paddle shape, with a super-cool 1937 Indianhead Nickel inside. H&K tuners with matching iridescent amber buttons. Beveled fingerboard at last five frets on bass side for easier playing. Bone nut. Medium pearl dot inlays on flat Ebony fingerboard. Dotson 3/4″ bridge. No-knot tailpiece. Pot has antiqu’ed brass hardware with wooden armrest showing nice grain. 24 hooks and nuts.

This is a great-sounding and well-built banjo, sure to be collectable and playable through the ages. Comes with a very nice OME gig bag.
