This new Recording King banjo is a thin rimmed lightweight open back banjo with no tone ring. The blackened peghead veneer has “Recording King” logo in a decal at the top. Truss rod cover near the nut on the peghead. The 4 main Tuners are Nickle Kluson copy close back tuners with a Schaller copy tuner as the 5th string; all the tuners have cream buttons. The Rosewood fingerboard is flat with pearl dot inlays; the fingerboard also has black bindings on the sides, and the 5th string side has ivoroid dot position markers. Blackened heelcap. the Rim is a half inch rim with 16 hooks and nuts. Single coordinator rod system.
Includes a gig bag which is not provided by the manufacturer, and it also includes an extensive setup of polishing, cleaning the fret board, oiling the fret board, adjusting the head tension and the neck position, and installing railroad spikes; all done in our shop.
