East Indian Rosewood with Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany neck. Ivoroid multiple bindings with herringbone purfling. Ebony peghead overlay with Collings logo inlaid at the top. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard with cut diamond inlays. Small teardrop tortoise pickguard. Ebony belly bridge with boxed intonated bone saddle. Ebony bridgepins and endpin with pearl dots. Guitar body has Ivoroid outer binding at top and back, with herringbone purfling on inside of top edge and multiple wood binding inside the back edge. Ivoroid heelcap and endwedge. Beautiful soundhole rosette of multiple Ivoroid, tortoise, and wood strips. Small “zipper” wooden backstrip in back of guitar. Old-style diamond volute in back of peghead.
These guitars have way more sound and way more balance than you’d think they would have for their size.
