New Joel Keefe Shoemaker “Clearwater” Quilted Maple Guitar – Sold

Description

New. SN: 1653.
1 3/4″ width at nut. 2 1/4″ pin spacing.

Size is similar to a “Nick Lucas” size and depth. This guitar has a timeless look. Red Spruce top. Highly figured Quilted Maple back and sides. The incredible depth and intensity of the Quilted Maple is remarkable. As I write this, my friend is here and he says the figured wood is “12 out of a possible 10”. Great shimmer and depth to the Mahogany neck. To set these woods off even further, Mr Shoemaker used a dark amber toned stain. And on the high grade Spruce top he used this same color to shade a highlight in the interior of the top, to very good effect.

Nickel Grover open back tuners. Beautiful Rosewood peghead veneers on face and back of peghead. Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays. Ebony bridge with cut-thru saddle. Bone nut and intonated saddle. Ebony heelcap. Body has beautiful Rosewood multiple bindings with Rosewood end wedge mitered in. Rosewood back strip that is also mitered in with bindings. Tortoise teardrop pickguard. Soundhole rosette is figured Maple.
Comes with OHC.
