Description
Exc Condition / 30mm nut width
This Fender “Leo” resonator banjo has a Mahogany neck and resonator, and a flat rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Nickel hardware appears to be original. Four railroad spikes installed at A, Bb, B, and C. Looks to be Schaller tuners, or copies. Cream bindings along the fingerboard and on the top and bottom edges of the the resonator. The tuner buttons have all matching pearloid buttons. “Fender Leo” is inlayed in pearloid at the top of the peghead with other flourishes inlayed as well. Truss rod cover above the original nut. There is slight wear on the head from where a finger has been moving across during play, and there are slight “V” dents in the first position. There has never been any damage on this instrument.
Wood rim construction with tone ring styled after traditional pre-war style flathead banjos.
This is a nice banjo that comes with a good hard case.
