Description
Traditional Maple and Spruce German violin with Ebony fittings. Light faded amber finish (refinished). Pronounced arched top. Beautiful woods.
Beautiful back with a good amount of fishbone figure (looks like a fish backbone running through the initial Maple figure). This violin was restored in 1981 by Jerry Gruver who was a very well-respected violin expert for many years here in Missoula, MT.
Jerry Gruver was the “go to” violin expert in our area for many, many years. For Mr Gruver to take on this violin as a restoration means that he perceived it to have good tonal value and high potential for performing.
This is a pretty nice playing and nice sounding violin. Please contact us to hear more details about condition or tone.
Comes with a good Hard Case.
