Description
This 1877 Thomas Russell “Scalone” violin is a well-crafted instrument by an American maker in New York. Traditionally made, with highly figured Maple back sides and neck and a lovely even-grained Spruce top. Ebony fingerboard and chin rest. Rosewood pegs and tailpiece. Four fine tuners mounted on tailpiece.
The scroll is very nice with elegant symmetry. This is a very good sounding violin with no problems.
Comes with a good hard case.
