This Blonde 1940 Kay Concert bass has all of the mojo. It has just recently been professionally set-up and it is playing and sounding great. The sound has a good even balance across the strings, a quick attack and a growly voice. Can’t beat old woods.
This bass has obviously been used seriously for years. There is some wood showing along the corners, the edge overhangs, and nicks and dings here and there. One significant side repair near the endpin is professionally repaired. One old neck heel break has been professionally re-repaired, making it very solid.
