Beautiful Full Sound
These Guild 212’s are always some of the top 12-string guitars on the market, and this one is no exception. It has general player wear, as well as a crack repair on each side of the fingerboard on the Spruce top like many of these have. Great tone and playability. Spruce top, with Mahogany back, sides, and “C” profile neck.
The darkened peghead features “Guild” inlaid at the top in pearloid, with a crown and torch inlay below it. Truss rod access above the bone nut. Nickel Guild branded tuners. The “C” profile neck is in good shape with a couple tiny dings. Ebony fingerboard has no inlays, but it does have side dot position markers. Nickel strap button installed. Cream heel cap.
The Spruce top has a few spread out dings and scratches, and both sides of the fingerboard on the top have a crack repair. large black plastic pickguard, and an Ebony bridge with white plastic pins. Six black and cream alternating lines of purfling before the cream binding on the top edge. Mahogany back and sides have a general amount of player, but they are in good shape overall. Cream binding on the back edge. End pin is also the pickup jack.
This 1976 Guild 212 XLNT is just as good as any Guild 12-string we’ve had in the past few years. Nice setup and good tone. Comes with a really nice heavy duty hard case.
