Rosewood dreadnaut with Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany neck. Neck has beautiful Rosewood peghead overlay with Taylor logo in pearl at top. Wooden truss rod cover. Ebony fingerboard with stylized diamond inlays. Ebony bridge with intonated saddle. Recent Ebony pins in bridge with pearl dots. 6-ply white-black-white bindings around top edge of guitar. Soundhole rosette of multiple black-white-black lines with colorful pearl rosette in center. Peghead, fingerboard, heel cap and back all bound with white binding. Mahogany neck is in great shape but does has some indentation marks on back of neck. None are very severe. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners. Back of guitar has colorful strip in center, and wooden decorative endpiece at endpin area.
This guitar is in great shape. It does have a few little dings on the top, around the soundhole. It has a lacquer check along the center seam on the top but center seam is not open. The high grade Sitka top is wonderful for beauty of grain and silky medullary rays. We can’t find any cracks or repairs on the guitar.
This guitar has had over 20 years to open up and it has the sound to show for it. Wonderful sound. Beautifully low action.
