This is a special mandolin that is part of a “run” of these. They mostly followed the same formulae:
Yellowstone F; Radiused F.B.; Full double-cut F.B. extension scalloped; Pickguard hand crafted to have a bi-level that coincides with the scallop in F.B.; Cedar top; Matte finish; Flowerpot inlay; Old Style “Balloon” Script Logo; Dot inlays.

Years ago we were buying and selling lots and lots of Weber mandolins. We had begun to hear some great tones and fast attack in their examples made with Cedar tops, instead of Sitka Spruce tops. We also noticed the quick, “open” sound that matte finish mandolins have vs. a hard lacquer finish. We started putting a custom combination together that had these features, and ordered and sold quite a few of these. Everyone commented on their great sound…

Yellowstone F model with highly figured Maple back, sides and neck. Fully bound with antique’d ivoroid bindings – top, back, fingerboard, peghead, and pickguard. Ebony peghead veneer with “The Weber” balloon script logo at top and elaborate flowerpot inlaid in center. Peghead bound with Ivoroid. Ivoroid bound radiused Ebony f.b. with small dot position markers and full double-cut extension is scalloped after 22nd fret. Ebony pickguard is Ivoroid bound and handcarved with a bilevel by Bruce Weber to match the scallop in f.b. Ebony Brekke bridge. Custom “filled” tailpiece. K&K pickup installed.

This mandolin does show signs of professional use… but no abuse! Only slight fret wear, and randon dings here and there around the mandolin. It is in excellent condition and sounds very good.
Comes with OHC.
