Collings has not made a ukulele since 2014 and they have no plans to make one. So Collings ukes are now quite dear and this is a rare bird, a beautifully handcrafted Koa instrument with the finest workmanship and materials.

“Hair cut” peghead. Rosewood peghead veneer has Collings logo inlaid in ivoroid at top. Professional geared Pegheds tuners installed in peghead at factory. Bone nut. Rosewood fingerboard with graduated ivoroid dots. Rosewood bridge with intonated bone saddle. Top, back, and sides are solid Koa, with one-piece top and one-piece back, all showing amazing figure. Mahogany neck. Top and back of body are bound with ivoroid bindings. The top edge shows five more plys of wood and ivoroid purfling strips. Soundhole rosette is seven-ply ivoroid and wood strips. Ivoroid heel cap and endwedge.

Not only is this a wonderfully sounding instrument, it’s in great condition. It’s hard to find any player wear. There is a tiny bit around the soundhole, some light scratches and scuffs on the peghead finish and some light button trails on the finish on the back, but barely detectable. The frets are perfect, the back of the neck is perfect, and again the sound is perfect. This instrument is light as a feather and ready to fill any stage with warmth and great wooden vibes.

Comes with original hard case from Collings.
