This 2019 Collings OM-1 T is a delightful guitar. It sounds as if it were 20 years old instead of 2.
It has all the features that are most popular: Vintage rounded V neck, light weight, antiquing, hide glue construction, and torrefied (baked) sitka top.

Typical of the traditional OM guitars, this is basically a 14-fret “000” with long (25.4″) scale.
Ebony peghead veneer has Collings logo inlayed at top. Nickel Waverly tuners with 3-lobed buttons.
Ebony fingerboard has graduated pearl dot inlay. Frets show only the barest amount of wear.
Torrefied sitka spruce top is handsomely antiqued a bit from the baking process to give it a great look.
Tortoise plastic pick guard. Ebony bridge has “cut-threw” bone intonated saddle. Unbleached bone bridge pins. Horn in pin.
Guitar body has tortoise outer bindings. Top has additional multi-wood purfling strips inside the edge binding.
Sound hole rosette shows handsome thing concentric circles of tortoise and wood. Back sides and neck are high grade mahogany.
Ebony heel cap and end wedge.

This guitar is so impressive for playability and sound that it can be thought of with the tonal value as a vintage guitar.
This is not an accident. These traditional models are made by highly experienced personnel within Collings, in many cases the most experienced person in the operation.
There are directed to choose lighter examples of woods, then the guitar is constructed after sanding dimensionally the top back and sides more than a normal Collings is sanded to cause the wood to be thinner. The guitar is constructed using hide glue and with an eye toward vintage aesthetic and vintage dimensions.
The baking of the top in the torrefication process Makes the sitka spruce top much harder and stiffer, and also changes the chemical properties of the wood.

The Collings Handmade Case:
For their traditional series, Bill Collings redesigned a faithful handmade version of a 1930 Lifton hard case.
These cases are so strong yet lightweight and sparse. There is no wasted space. The case fits very close to the guitar and has the best accurate latches from prewar period and handle.
In short, it looks like a 1930 case brand new. It is possibly one of the finest cases built in my lifetime.

The setup and the tone are wonderful. There is only a little tapping from a thumb pick, and a random touch mark here or there. Delightful tone.
4500 including the amazing vintage style hand made case.
