This beautiful example of a Collings D-1A is so like-new that it still smells like the factory. Adirondack Spruce top, Mahogany back, sides, and rounded “V” profile neck.
Ebony peghead veneer has Collings logo inlaid in pearl at the top. Nickle open back Waverly pre-war style tuners. Gabon Ebony fingerboard with graduated dot inlays.
The Adirondack top has very white grain mixed with typical red streaks in the wood. Gabon Ebony bridge with boxed intonated saddle. Ebony endpins with pearl dots. Handsome soundhole rosette of multiple dark and light woods. Tortoise pickguard. The top and back have tortoise binding. This guitar also has an Ebony heelcap, Ebony endwedge, and an Ebony stringer down the back.
This is a fantastic guitar with huge sound, power, and expression. This Collings has the occasional small stray mark, but it does not have any noticeable marks that stand out. Comes with the original hard case.
