This Gold Tone “Paul Beard Signature” Mahogany squareneck resophonic was designed by Paul Beard and made to his spec’s by Goldtone. The bodies were sent to Paul Beard’s shop where he set them up to perfection with his high-grade parts.

This particular guitar offers powerful sound. There are minor signs of wear on the nickel plating of the cover plate and armrest, but it is otherwise in excellent condition.

The guitar features a solid mahogany top, neck, back, and sides in a tobacco sunburst finish. The darkened peghead bears a gold tone decal at the top, with the Paul E. Beard Signature Series inscription. The tuners resemble Grovers with large crescent metal buttons. It features a high bone nut with professional spacing at the nut and saddle in the bridge.

The rosewood fingerboard is threaded and adorned with medium-sized pearl dot inlays and dark position markers on the bass side of the neck. The fingerboard is bound with grained ivoroid binding.

The body has two sound ports with rings and screens, as well as a traditional fan cover plate. The guitar exhibits a nice tobacco sunburst finish, blending reddish-brown-yellow tones in the center and dark tobacco on the outer edges. The top and back are bound with ivoroid binding, and the back is two-piece, while the neck and top are one and two-piece respectively. The sides of the guitar are also visually appealing. There is an end strip through the strap hanger at the end pin, featuring a strip of ivoroid.

This discontinued model is in great shape and is a tremendous value. Comes with a soft-shell case. Please call with any questions!
