This unique banjo is built locally by Bill LaCroix. It is a double-headed gourd banjo. The body is made from a gourd called a “giant bottle gourd”.
The neck is made from western larch. The fingerboard and headstock veneer are made from mountain mahogany. The cap on the back of the gourd is Missouri black walnut.
The heads are calfskin. There is a Buffalo nickel inlaid in the side of the neck head. This is Buffalo Banjos signature inlay. Violin peg tuners, including the 5th string. Bison bone nut and 5th string pip.
This is a cool banjo. There is no case included, but a soft case is available for an additional $75.00.
