Exc (-) condition / #601067
1-11/16″ width at nut
This C. 1972 Lyle W-460 Hummingbird copy is a more affordable dreadnought that sounds pretty good. It just got a new bone nut and intonated bone saddle, while also getting the bridge glued back down, so it is set up and ready to play. It has a Spruce top with Mahogany back, sides, and neck.
The Ebony peghead overlay features the Lyle logo inlaid at the top, and a crown inlay in the center. Truss rod access before the bone nut. Rosewood fingerboard features parallelogram inlays at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 15th, and 17th frets, and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard binding. Shallow “C” profile neck is in nice shape with only a minimal amount of tiny dings. Antiqued heelcap. Nickle strap button installed.
Cherry sunburst Spruce top has some areas of lacquer checking, but it does not look to have any cracks or previous crack repairs. Rosewood bridge features an adjustable bone intonated saddle, and Rosewood bridge pins. Simple soundhole rosette, and tortoise plastic “Hummingbird” pickguard that has faded in some areas. Five-line black and white alternating purfling inside the antiqued binding on the top edge. Mahogany back and sides have a good amount of button scratches and stray dings, with some lacquer checking as well, but it has no open cracks or previous crack repairs. Nickle end pin installed.
