Fully multiple bound, with multiple bindings around peghead, top and back of body, and cream binding along traditional double-cut fingerboard. Macassar Ebony peghead overlay has Shiro logo decal at top and pearl inlay in center. Elaborate abalone inlays in ebony fingerboard. Very nice amber sunburst. The two-piece book-matched back is very nice to look at. It’s not normal flame pattern, but has birdseyes and interesting cloud figures that come and go as you look at the wood from different angles. Original floating pickguard. Original bridge, tailpiece, and Gotoh tuners. Gold hardware. Bone nut. Original small frets in good shape with some evidence of playing.
This mandolin sounds pretty darn good after fresh professional setup. Ready to play! Comes with original rectangular case with extras in the case.
