1-11/16″ width at nut
These Irish Creek guitars are made by our friend Mark Potter over in Spokane, Washington. Mark is not a stickler for perfection when making these guitars, but they always have good tone and are solid. This 000-28 has a Darkened Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, and a nice rounded “V” profile neck.
The peghead overlay resembles Koa, and it does not have any inlays or decals. Nickel tuners, bone nut. Blonde fingerboard with black dot inlays. Curly Maple fingerboard binding. Rounded “V” profile neck with Nickel strap button installed. The same wood used for the peghead overlay is used for the heelcap.
The dye used for the darkened Spruce top brings out some nice figure in the wood. Ebony bridge with Ebony saddle and white plastic pins with abalone dots. Abalone soundhole rosette and tortoise plastic pickguard. Curly Maple binding on the top edge of the Spruce top. The Rosewood back and sides have a good amount of imperfections in the finish, but it is a nice set of Rosewood. Curly Maple binding on the back edge of the Rosewood back. Ivoroid end wedge with black end pin installed.
This Irish Creek 000-28 is a nice sounding guitar in good playing shape. Due to the imperfections, this guitar is below $1000. With the same wood used and more perfect construction, this guitar would go for a lot more. Comes with a hard case.
