This new banjo possibly has everything you want in a banjo. It is made with very nice figured Maple, with radiused Ebony fingerboard. The peghead and fingerboard show off Prucha’s Spirit Banjo abalone inlays. Fingerboard has 24-fret fingerboard extended over the head slightly. Pot metal top tension hoop and flange. Normal 3-ply maple resonator. Multiple ivoroid bindings around resonator and along fingerboard. H & K tuners with Schaller 5th – all with matching ivoroid buttons.
Special new lightweight tone ring of special design, instead of full 3 lb flathead tone ring. The banjo sounds great… any pro could use it for their career. This banjo weighs around 1.5 to 2.5 kilos LESS than a normal full weight banjo.
This very banjo was played by Jason Burleson in finale show at SPBGMA convention in Nashville, TN earlier this year.
