Wow, this 1928 National Style 2 Tricone Tenor guitar is a treasure. It is in wonderful original condition with only very minor evidence of playing time. This guitar features a German Silver triangular National Tricone Nickel plated metal body with, of course, three resonator cones and the tricone T-bridge. The Nickel plating is almost flawless, especially considering it is 96 years old. The Rose engraving of this style 2 model is crisp and vivid. Almost no scratching and no handwear on the face, sides, back or neck. Original Grover Pat. pancake offset tuners with original cream buttons. Ebony heelcap on neck heel.

Peghead overlay has National Decal Logo at the top. Seems to be the original bone nut and even the original frets in the Ebony fingerboard. Pearl dot inlays in fingerboard. Fingerboard is bound with grained ivoroid binding. Just below the end of the fingerboard “Pat. Pend.” is stamped into the metal. Original spun resonator cones. Original tailpiece and endpin. Serial number “190” is stamped into the metal body at endpin.

* This is the same type of Tricone Tenor that Noam Pickelny used on his “Universal Favorite” album, except that this one is engraved.

This fine collectible instrument is in such great shape! Wonderful playability and tone! Comes with a gig bag.
The original hard case is in great condition, as well. All hinges and latches work correctly. Original handle has peeling on the outer thin leather layer.
We know how to ship this instrument to protect the original cones.
