Description
This is a fine old violin, made traditionally with Spruce top, Maple back, sides and neck and Ebony fittings. The Ebony tuning pegs have Paris Eye decoration.
The varnish color is a subdued orange-amber gradation with convincing antique’ing to the top and back.
Some wear to the edges and the C-bout points.
Only one crack repair to the outer wing of bass side f-hole, 3/4″ long.
This is a very robust violin with a pronounced, full tone with good projection.
