Birch body with very nice spruce top. Original pickguard, bridge and tailpiece. Ivoroid bound top. Blackened peghead with “Fisher of men” symbol applied to it. Original bone nut. Flat ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and original small frets. Bound oval sound-hole with “houndstooth” rosette. Original tortoise pickguard with no rot or damage. Pickguard clamp is intact and working fine. Original tailpiece, 3 mounting screws, ebony end pin, and engraved cover plate all intact in great shape.
Slight wear through finish on back of neck. Slight wear in back of peghead at top from leaning against a wall. No damage or repairs.
The sound on this is really very good. We see lots of these mandolins, and this one ranks very high. Comes with a loose-fitting hard case.
