This guitar has had neck refinished by Martin & Co some years ago. At same time there may have been more work that they performed. This is a great guitar in really great shape.
Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay has more recent CF Martin & Co decal at top put on by Martin when some work was performed. Ebony radiused fingerboard with cut diamond inlays. Bar frets. “V” neck profile. Ivoroid heel-cap. Ivoroid body bindings. Inside the top binding is wooden Herringbone purfling. Inside the back binding are accent lines of dark and light wood, and wooden “zipper” back strip. Top is possibly fine Adirondack, or fine Engelmann. Ivoroid multiple bound end wedge. Ivoroid or cream pins. Bone saddle and nut.
Guitar is in wonderful shape, plays great. Comes with original open-back 3-on-a-plate tuners with Ivoroid buttons. Comes with newer hard shell case.
The sound is powerful and creamy-smooth.
There may have been further finish work, on the body, but the work was done so perfectly that it isn’t apparent. Call us – we’ll have more info to discuss soon.
