This 1936 Gibson L-50 is quite nice. It just had full maintenance set-up, with everything now in fine shape.  The Pickguard is missing but everything else is there. The original Ebony adjustable 2-pc bridge is especially cool. L-50’s were just out of their infancy as a model when this one was made. As luck would have it, this one has the more desirable features. Flat Maple back with Maple sides, Arched Spruce top and Mahogany V profile neck. 16″ wide body, Ebony adjustable bridge, great 1936 vivid sunburst.

There is usual player wear from 88 years of careful use. Some of it is just random marks here and there. There is polite finish checking, mostly on the sunburst top. Back of neck has had bare wood capo marks touched-up a bit, so your thumb doesn’t complain when holding chords. A couple of braces have been reglued.
Frets are in great shape with fresh new fret job. Likewise, the Brazilian RW fingerboard is freshly milled and the pearl dots are gleaming.

The body is bound with single ply white binding. Trapeze tailpiece. Original finish except some bits of touch-up (mostly center line of V neck). The old original tuners work fine.

This guitar plays easy and sounds like a much more expensive archtop. Comes with a perfect fitting Gretsch archtop case.
