All Set-Up w/ Good Bridge, Strings
3/4 Size • Great Bag
This 1939 Kay M-1 W Upright 3/4 Bass is a wonderful playing bass. All set-up with great low action, recent strings, good bridge and a wonderful case.
The sound is sure and immediate with no waving or hesitation in the attack. Projects well.
This is a plywood bass with Maple back, sides and neck and Spruce top. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Original Black (Ebony?) tailpiece.
Some normal wear all around the bass – nothing major. One area shows open small hole where it appears there was an aftermarket jack installed and removed – it’s at the edge of the inside of the treble C-bout.
Good bridge. Good endpin.
And again… Comes with wonderful heavy duty cover, and French Bow.
