Blackened peghead veneer has pearloid Gretsch logo inlayed at the top, and anniversary model plate in the center. Trust rod cover near nut. Tuners have been replaced with gold Gotoh tuners. This Gretsch has a Gabon Ebony neck with pearl “fingernail” inlays, which act as position markers since they are seen from the bass side of the fingerboard. The back of the neck shows two-piece Maple with an Ebony streamer. The body of this guitar is also maple.

There is the usual switch configuration with two selectors, a master volume, and a tone and volume knob. Original gold Lucite pickguard, original wooden base bridge with adjustable width spinners. There is Cream binding on the top and back of the body. Some of the binding has cracked and deteriorated as is common from Gretsch guitars of this time period. You can see examples in the photos, such as in the cutaway area, where the binding has separated very slightly. There are a couple other areas where the binding is beginning to separate, but overall the bindings are holding together and have been evaluated as stable by our luthier, who recommends keeping an eye on them but not taking an any action at this time.

There is a little bit of wear around the first position on the back of the neck with some lacquer worn through. The peghead veneer shows some shrinkage lines. The frets are in good shape without much wear. Comes with the original silver Gretsch hard case.
