This 1967 Martin D-35 is a really nice sounding guitar with quarter-sawn Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and Engelmann Spruce top. This guitar has recently had some professional repairs. It has a new bridge and bridge plate, recent professional neck reset that is hardly noticeable, and there have been a few back and side cracks repaired very nicely.
The Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay has the “Martin & Co.” decal at the top, and the original Grover Nickel tuners are in good shape. The peghead has a fairly big ding on the front top edge. Bone nut. The Ebony fingerboard has pearloid dot inlays and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard binding. There is some slight player wear on the first few frets on the B and E strings but nothing significant. The Mahogany neck is in really nice shape. cream heelcap and no strap button installed.
The Spruce top has some nice figure and is in pretty good condition. The area around the bridge has been repaired from when the original bridge split and busted the top. New Ebony bridge, new bone saddle, and new black plastic pickguard installed. Standard three concentric circle D-35 soundhole rosette. Five line black and cream alternating purfling before the cream binding on the top edge of the Spruce top. The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides have some really nice figure and the three-piece back is separated by two stringers. There is a two-line black and cream purfling before the cream binding on the back edge on the three-piece Brazilian Rosewood back. Cream end wedge and a white plastic end pin with a black dot installed.
This is a really great Brazilian Rosewood D-35 with nice low action. Professional repairs recently done. Comes with a hard case.
