Herringbone purfling inside the ivoroid binding on the top edge of the Spruce top. The Rosewood back and sides are in good shape with some signs of player wear. This 1979 Franklin OM-28 Custom represents one of the most historically important eras of American guitar building. In the late ’60’s and early ’70’s Martin had long forgotten the great “OM” (Orchestra Models), guitars of the 1930’s. One of the early makers to embrace the concept of “re-making” the OM guitar was Nick Kukich, owner and luthier of Franklin Guitars, in Sandpoint, Idaho. In our 34 years of having a music store geared toward serious acoustic instruments I cannot think of a guitar that is more sought-after than these 30-38 year old Franklins, especially the great OM’s!

Comes with a hard case.
