Description
Exceptional Condition / SN: 451729
1-11/16″ width at nut / 25.4″ scale length
This 1984 Martin D-28 has a Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a Mahogany neck. Top edge of body has multiple white/black/white bindings. Back has 3-ply bindings around back edge and “zipper” center-seam marquetry. Radiused Ebony fretboard with graduated Pearl dot inlays. Original Tusq nut and saddle. Martin Nickel tuners. Everything on the guitar is original: tuners, nut, saddle, pickguard, bridge, bridge plate, frets, pins etc. No strap button ever installed.
There are a few small signs of player wear on the guitar. And, there are signs that the strings did touch the frets a little… but not much. Both sides of the binding on the back edge have been reglued. Sound quality and playability are excellent.
