This 1990 Gibson J-45 has Mahogany back, sides, and neck with a cherry sunburst Spruce top. This Gibson has some player wear, but it has also been played enough to open up.
It just returned shop in the shop from getting two crack repairs and a setup.

The blackened peghead overlay has the Gibson logo decal at the top, and truss rod access above the bone nut. Rosewood fingerboard features pearl dot inlays and small side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. Mahogany neck is a nice rounded “V” profile.

Cherry sunburst Spruce top has a good amount of dings and scratches. It also has one area, on the treble side of the lower bout near the binding, that took a more significant hit. This area was just repaired by our Luthier. Rosewood bridge has Rosewood bridge pins and a bone saddle. Large tortoise pickguard. Two lines of purfling inside the binding on the top edge of the Spruce top. The Mahogany back is in similar shape to the top, with player wear, dings and scratches, and a crack repair by the waist that was also just done by our Luthier.

We expected this 1990 Gibson J45 to sound pretty good since it has been played and opened up, but it sounds better than we originally thought it would. It has a very full and balanced tone, good for any style of playing. Comes with a hard case.
