This 1996 Roy Noble Concert looks almost brand new except for a few small dings that signify it was previously owned and used. Cedar top, a-typical Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a shallow “C” profile Mahogany neck.
The Rosewood peghead overlay has a “Noble” decal down the center with a wooden truss rod cover below it. Nickel Martin tuners with Ebony buttons. Bone but. The Ebony fingerboard has no inlays, but it does has small ivoroid side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. Very slight indentations in the frets in the first couple positions. The “C” profile Mahogany neck is comfortable and has no wear. Rosewood heelcap.
The Cedar top has some nice figure. It is in nearly perfect shape besides a ding on the treble side of the lower bout, and very slight pick marks where the pickguard would typically be. Rosewood bridge has white bridge pins with pearl dots and a bone saddle. Five line black and white alternating purfling before the Maple binding on the top edge of the Cedar top. The Indian Rosewood back and sides are in fantastic shape with little to no signs of player wear. We are calling this Indian Rosewood “atypical” because in some areas it looks almost like Pau Ferro, and other areas look like Indian Rosewood. Thin Maple center strip separating the two-piece Rosewood back. Maple binding on the back edge. Mahogany end wedge.
No strap button or end pin has ever been installed on this Noble, but both could easily be installed. Comes with the original hard case.
