OHSC / Showcase model

This is a Showcase banjo that closely resembles a pre-war Gibson RB-75. The neck is made of straight-grain Mahogany. The Ebony overlay of the double-cut peghead is inlaid with a flying eagle motif, reminiscent of the Gibson RB-4 or RB-75. The top of the peghead features a period correct “Gibson” logo inlay. The truss rod cover is a standard Gibson plastic cover located above the bone nut.

The fingerboard is radiused with creme binding. It is made of Brazilian Rosewood and features pearl flying eagle inlays, with “Mastertone” at the 21st fret.

While the banjo has a similar appearance to a Gibson banjo, it is not a direct copy. It is easy to distinguish as a Showcase banjo when you remove the resonator.

The pot has a Mahogany resonator with cream binding on the top and back edge. The back of the resonator features concentric circles in cream-black-cream. All hardware is nickel-plated.

This banjo produces a great sound and shows no signs of wear. It comes with its original hardshell case.
