This 2003 Deering Sierra 5-string banjo is pretty nice. Mahogany neck and resonator, with traditional flathead tonering and rim.
Blackened face of peghead has Deering Decal at top and truss-rod cover near nut. Black nut. Ebony flat fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Side mounted Shubb 5th string sliding capo.
Tuners appear to be Nickel Schaller with pearloid buttons.
Resonator has white binding around top and back edges. The Mahogany in the neck and the resonator is very attractive. Back of resonator has small area near neck heel that shows some marring and one other spot of marring at butt of resonator on sidewall.
Neck is clean and dent free. Frets show light evidence of player wear. Nickel hardware.
This banjo is in nice condition and needs nothing. Almost no fret wear and the head looks new. Comes with good hard case.
