This 2004 Martin HD-28V is in brand new condition. There are no pick marks, no dings, no scratches, no cracks. It is very rare that we get one like this in that is in such perfect shape. This guitar came out of a large Martin collection. The collection had many guitars that were purchased brand new, and left in the case never to be played. Call us, and we will point out the other guitars that are in the same condition.
This guitar was built with all of the appointments that are asked for by Martin dreadnought enthusiasts. It has advanced scalloped bracing, open-back pre-war style tuners, vintage feeling neck with diamond volute on back of headstock. It has wooden Herringbone binding, cut-thru bridge saddle, and “zipper” back strip and tortoise plastic pickguard.
Rosewood peghead veneer has Martin & Co logo at top. Ebony fingerboard has Abalone “cut-diamond” inlays. Multiple bindings on soundhole rosette. Ivoroid body bindings, heel cap, and end wedge. Rosewood back and sides with high-grade Sitka Spruce top. Ebony fingerboard and bridge.
This is a tremendous sounding guitar that has not been played since the year it was built. We suspect the original strings are on the guitar. Comes with original hard case.
