This 2005 Gibson Earl Scruggs Flint Hill Special banjo is quite a nice one. Strong Maple figure with a one-piece back resonator. This banjo has everything. Pearl binding, solid pearl tuner buttons, gold engraved hardware, highly figured woods.

Double-cut peghead is bound with solid mother-of-pearl binding. Pearl Gibson pre-War script logo at top and elaborate Hearts and Flowers inlay. Engraved “Flint Hill Special” pearl truss rod cover. Pearl nut. Flat Gabon Ebony finerboard with pearl Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern and Mastertone block at 21st fret. Fingerboard bound with cream binding showing black accent line on the side. Resonator also has cream binding with black accent lines seen on the sides and both faces. The one-piece back of figured Maple is very dramatic, with a beautiful tobacco sunburst. The sidewalls are also heavily figured, as well as the neck. Solid pearl heelcap.

Gold Waverly main tuners with gold Schaller fifth, all with solid mother of pearl buttons. Engraved flange, tone ring, tension hoop, with the tension hoop having engraved patterns on the top edge on the side. Elaborately engraved armrest. Engraved Presto tailpiece. Gold thumbscrews have mother of pearl inset into the top.

This is a very nice banjo that has no wear and tear. Gently treated by its owner, who had several high-end Gibson banjos. It is setup to play and ready to go.

Comes with original Gibson hard case.
