This 2007 Kevin Kopp Trail boss is a powerhouse. It has light signs of player wear and center seam crack repair but it is in very nice shape overall.

The ivoroid bound Ebony peghead overlay has a “Kopp” logo MOP inlay at the top. Nickel Waverly tuners. Bone nut. The “C” profile Mahogany neck is in great shape. The Ebony fingerboard has small MOP dot inlays and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the ivoroid binding.

The Spruce top has a few spread out dings and scratches and a professional center seam crack repair, but it does not have any major wear or issues. Tiger stripe pickguard, Rosewood bridge with a bone saddle and bone bridge pins with abalone dots. Black/white/black/white/black purfling beside the ivoroid binding on the top edge. The Mahogany back and sides are in good shape with minimal signs of player wear. Ivoroid binding on the back edge. Ivoroid end wedge with a bone end pin installed with abalone dot.

*Guitars like this one with a long scale length and a 12-fretr neck joint have a special sound. I call it a little bit “bolder” sound. The mechanics of it is that the bridge and saddle are moved down lower on the body about 3/8″ of an inch. Now you have it positioned farther away from the soundhole, with almost no brace directly under the bridge. Famously, this is the formulae for a lot of Norman Blake’s flatpicking tone.

This 2007 Kevin Kopp Trail Boss is great for fingerpicking or flatpicking. Nice playability and solid tone. Comes with a hard case.
