This 2008 Roy Noble HD-100 Brazilian is a fantastic sounding instrument in great playing shape. This guitar has no obvious signs of playing wear. It does not have any cracks or repairs.
The Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay features an inset ivoroid line, slanted across the peghead. Maple truss rod cover with “Noble” written down the center. Ivoroid binding around the top edge of the peghead. Fossil Ivory nut. Nickel Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons. The Gabon Ebony fingerboard features cut diamond pearl inlays and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the f.b. The fingerboard is bound with ivoroid bindings. The “C” profile Mahogany neck is in great condition. Ebony strap button with pearl dot installed in the correct position on the heel. Maple heelcap.
The Red Spruce top is in great shape with nearly no signs of prior ownership. Gabon Ebony bridge with Ebony bridge pins and a bone saddle. Herringbone soundhole rosette. The top and back of body are bound with Maple outer bindings, with Herringbone purfling inside the Maple binding on the top edge and multiple wood purfling inside the back binding. Tapered Maple backstrip separating the beautiful two-piece Brazilian Rosewood back. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are in good shape with some button scratches.
* This Brazilian Rosewood is a “Master Grade” piece of wood. It is predominately quarter-sawn, so even if it were boring straight grain it would be classed as AAA or higher. But to have the beautiful figure and the undulating grain, means this is “Master Grade”.
This 2008 Roy Noble HD-100 is a really special guitar. One of around 600 guitars that Roy Noble produced. Very balanced tone with very easy playability all the way up the neck. No issues. Comes with the original hard case.
