This 2008 Santa Cruz OM/PW guitar is a “Peach” of a guitar! The “OM/PW” designation means, “Orchestra Model, Pre-war Style”. In other words, this guitar was built like a 1930’s original OM guitar would be built, with similar top thickness, bridge plate, braces, neck, tuners, etc.

The square cut peghead has Indian R.W. peghead overlay with Santa Cruz logo in Pearl inlay at the top. Appear to be Nickel Grover pre-war style open back tuners with metal 3-lobed buttons. Diamond Volute in back of peghead. Unbleached Bone nut. Gabon Ebony fingerboard with tiny pearl dot inlays and white side dot position markers. The neck profile is a vintage rounded “V”. Ebony heelcap. Nickel strap button professionally installed on heel.

The body has Indian Rosewood back & sides and a high-grade Sitka Spruce top. Top and back edge of body is bound with black binding. The top binding shows extra lines of accent purfling inside the top edge. The Spruce top shows excellent colorings. Tortoise plastic pickguard. Multiple wood ring soundhole rosette. Ebony boxed bridge with bone intonated saddle and Ebony bridge pins with pearl dots. Ebony end pin with pearl dot.

Areas of note:
The top of bass side peghead corner there is ding that caused a small chunk to come out (check photos).
On the Spruce top, in front of the bridge and along the face of the bridge, a strip of lacquer has lifted, allowing some air under the lacquer (check photos).
Overall:
This is a pretty nice example of a 17 year old guitar. Having said that, there are some things to point out: There are random shirt and button scratches here and there, One ding on lower treble bout of the top, and some light signs of use on the back and sides. The back of neck is as clean as can be.

This guitar has wonderfully full sound. It is set-up well and ready to go. Comes with original hard case.
