This 2010 Boucher 000 Native Goose is a wonderful handmade guitar. Built by Claude Boucher in Quebec, Canada, these guitars exhibit the finest methods and materials to give you a beautiful instrument with developed sound and great setup.
This instrument has a bearclaw-figure Red Spruce (Adirondack spruce) top with Mahogany back, sides, and neck. Tortoise bindings. The Ebony peghead overlay has “Boucher” inlayed at the top in abalone, and it has Nickle Boucher tuners with Nickle buttons. Bone nut. The Ebony fingerboard has abalone dot inlays and abalone side dot position markers on the bass side on the fingerboard. The Mahogany neck is a comfortable “D” profile, with a Nickle strap button installed in the correct location on the heel. Rosewood heelcap. Undyed Ebony bridge with bone saddle and bone bridge pins with abalone dots.
The Red Spruce top is in great shape with only the smallest signs this instrument was previously owned. It has a simple three ring soundhole rosette, with a center ring of tortoise. Tortoise pickguard and a black and white line of purfling before the tortoise binding on the top edge. The Mahogany back and sides are in wonderful shape with very little player wear. The two-piece mahogany back has a rosewood stinger down the center, and tortoise binding on the back edge. Pickup access in the place of the end pin.
